Stone Soup Bistro is in charming Shepherdstown, West Virginia’s oldest town, nestled along the Potomac River where James Rumsey launched the very first steam boat, the town where General Lee sheltered his army after the epic Battle of Antietam in neighboring Sharpsburg, Maryland. Shepherdstown is home to bustling Shepherd University, West Virginia’s only public liberal arts college, the Contemporary American Theatre Festival, a vibrant and vital laboratory for new American theatre, and the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service’s National Conservation Training Center. Shepherdstown is a easy day trip from both Washington, D.C. and Baltimore, Maryland, less than 2 hours by car. Stone Soup Bistro warmly invites you to visit our community.
Our address is 112 West German Street, Shepherdstown, West Virginia 25443.
